It looks like you may be mostly SOL finding trails, but this thread has some decent info on finding a place to get started.

Yea that's pretty much all I've read or heard on the subject too...where do you generally go that there are trails? Indiana?

Well I'm currently planning a trip to a Jeep Jamboree hopefully early next year, the ones close to me at school (Bloomington, IN) are Attica, IN, French Lick, IN, and Marshall County, KY. Other than that, back home in Chicago is very sparse for trails and I usually just wander out to the country roads around campus and do what I can finding fire roads.

I'm sure hoping so, but I can certainly see the concern with that one. I'ts only about 4 hours for me, quite a lot longer for you I imagine. There is one up in Crandon, WI over the summer you could probably check out though

It's at least a lot closer for you, and I'll check back in after the Jamboree in KY to let you know how it goes. And if the race you're going to is a TORC off road race you will be quite pleased, I went to one a few years ago and it was great. Also headed to COTA for the F1 race Halloween weekend, pretty excited about that one haha
